Coming of age ceremonies have been lost in much of modern western culture, but they can be a valuable tool to help our teenagers start their adult lives as they mean to go on. These ceremonies are an opportunity for the community to gather, to recognise the changing status of a young person moving into adulthood, and pass on the lessons that are most valuable.
